A 17-year-old from Eraiyur village from Villupuram district who ingested rat poison recently for a life-saving emergency liver transplant in Chennai. He is a class 11 student and as an aftermath of a dispute with his father wherein he was scolded, he took this dire measure. The surgery was performed by celebrated Chennai based senior transplant Surgeon Dr Karthik Mathivanan.
